Warner Bros. recently released the highly anticipated trailer for “The Meg 2: The Trench,” the sequel to the hit 2018 film, “The Meg.” The sequel, set to hit theaters on August 4, 2023, brings back action star Jason Statham to face off against the Megalodon and other prehistoric creatures (OutKick).
Ben Wheatley directs the new installment, and the trailer made its initial debut at CinemaCon before being launched online (Fangoria). The trailer features Statham and his team battling not just one but multiple Megalodons, promising an action-packed film with even higher stakes than the first (Comic Book Movie).
In addition to the monstrous sharks, the film also includes other prehistoric creatures, adding more suspense and thrill to the sequel.
