Former UFC fighter Nate Diaz has been making headlines after getting into a street fight in New Orleans on Friday night (CBS Sports). Diaz was caught on camera choking someone out during the altercation, which reportedly took place at a Misfits Boxing event (USA Today). While some reports suggest that the person who was choked out was a Logan Paul lookalike (MMA Fighting), others claim that it was just a regular person involved in the brawl (Fox News).
Following the incident, the man who was allegedly choked out by Diaz showed off a grisly head injury and vowed to get revenge on the UFC legend (Daily Mail). The man’s identity remains unknown, but there is speculation that he might have been Logan Paul himself (Marca). However, UFC president Dana White initially thought that the person in the video was Logan’s brother, Jake Paul (talkSPORT).
Diaz, who is known for his rambunctious personality and love of fighting, seemed to be enjoying himself during the street brawl. There are reports that he needed to “feel free and with no commitments to any big organization” in order to get into the fight (Marca). It’s unclear what inspired Diaz to get involved in the altercation, but it’s possible that he was just looking for a good time.
Despite no longer being part of the UFC, Diaz remains a popular figure in the MMA community.
