Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” is taking Houston by storm as fans flock to NRG Stadium to catch the pop superstar in action. According to the Houston Chronicle, Swift’s concert kicked off with a sold-out show that featured songs from all of her eras. Fearless Taylor Swift took more than 62,000 Houston Swifties on a 3-hour journey through all her eras, as CultureMap Houston reported.
The city also paid homage to the megastar by lighting up Houston City Hall in “Lavender Haze” for the entire weekend of her concerts, as ABC13 reported. The show was followed by two more sold-out concerts on April 23 and 24, which saw tens of thousands of fans pour into NRG Stadium to catch a glimpse of the pop icon.
However, getting to the concert venue wasn’t a walk in the park. According to KHOU, thousands of Houston Swifties lined up for access to exclusive Taylor Swift The Eras Tour merch, braving hours-long lines before the show.
Ticket prices for Swift’s “The Eras Tour” concerts at Houston’s NRG Stadium also fell by almost 50%, as reported by the New York Post. Despite the drop in ticket prices, last-minute buyers could still snag tickets to watch Swift perform her greatest hits, as the Houston Chronicle reported.
Swift’s concert has also attracted scammers who targeted fans with fake tickets, as reported by Click2Houston. Fans were warned to be cautious before purchasing any tickets from unverified sources.
Even though the concert is over, the city of Houston will remember Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” for a long time to come. Swift and her mom, Andrea, who is also a University of Houston graduate, have captured the hearts of Houstonians and left a lasting impact on the city’s music scene.
