Despite rising to fame in recent years through successful indie films, theatre productions and acclaimed TV series, Jonathan Majors’ budding career is now at risk after he has been dropped from multiple projects, including a movie he was set to star and executive produce (“Deadline Hollywood,” “Vulture,” “MovieWeb”). The up-and-coming actor has also lost his talent manager, Entertainment 360, following domestic violence charges made against him (“Variety,” “Deadline”).
While some studio executives are reportedly unsure of what to do with Majors in light of the recent allegations (“Vulture”), others, including Marvel, have refused to recast his role as Kang the Conqueror in an upcoming project (“Forbes”).
Majors was arrested for an alleged domestic dispute in New York City last month (“The Root,” “FandomWire”) and since then, his career has been experiencing a significant blow. Despite pleading not guilty, he was dropped from two major movies (“FandomWire”).
As an actor who has shown great potential and attracted waves of attention from media and fans alike, the outcome of the charges against Majors will undoubtedly have an impact on both his personal and professional life. For now, it remains to be seen what the future holds for him.
