Former Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb has reunited with quarterback Aaron Rodgers, signing with the New York Jets (Acme Packing Company). Cobb, a 13-year professional, has accumulated 625 catches, 7,585 receiving yards, and 53 touchdowns throughout his career, primarily catching passes from Rodgers (New York Jets).
Cobb joins the Jets following the recent trade of Rodgers to the team, and the signing of offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett, who also previously worked with Rodgers and Cobb in Green Bay (ESPN). The Jets have been actively embracing an alternate version of the Packers, including signing additional former players (CBS Sports).
The 32-year-old wide receiver agreed to a one-year deal with the Jets (NFL.com). Specific terms of the contract were not disclosed. Rodgers, who may or may not have given the Jets a list of players he wanted the team to sign, has now been reunited with another favorite target in Cobb (Bleacher Report).
The Jets continue to make moves to strengthen their roster surrounding Rodgers, and the addition of Cobb adds depth and experience to their receiving corps (The Athletic). Cobb’s signing with the Jets on a one-year deal was first reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter (DraftKings Nation).
