Many have considered Bennett an underdog, as he began his college career similarly (USA Today).
The Rams, 2021 Super Bowl champions, appear to be preparing for life after their current quarterback, Matthew Stafford, by securing Bennett (Bleacher Report). Although some had speculated that Bennett might not be drafted at all, his journey has now led him to the NFL, much to the surprise of many (New York Post).
Despite not being chosen as a top pro prospect, Bennett’s recent achievements, including back-to-back national championships, generated a lot of interest among NFL teams (Wall Street Journal, 247 Sports). As for the Georgia football team, they will face the challenge of replacing the talented Stetson Bennett as their starting quarterback (CBS Sports).
