Max Duggan, a former Texas Christian University (TCU) quarterback, has been selected by the Los Angeles Chargers at the No. 239 overall pick in the 7th round of the 2023 NFL draft (Chargers Wire). Duggan (6-foot-2, 207 pounds) was a good collegiate player, who has now made it to the NFL (CBS Sports).
Duggan was drafted alongside his fellow TCU Horned Frogs Quentin Johnson, Steve Avila, and Kendre Miller (WFAA). He was a Heisman Trophy runner-up and was long ago identified by the Dallas Cowboys as a late-round flier, with owner Jerry Jones taking a specific interest in him (Sports Illustrated). Now, with his selection by the Chargers, Duggan has found a home in the NFL as a backup to quarterback Justin Herbert (ClutchPoints).
