MMA fighter Nate Diaz has recently made headlines for his legal troubles and bold statements. Diaz turned himself in to the New Orleans police department on Thursday morning and was booked into custody on a charge of felony battery (ESPN). Diaz was wanted by the New Orleans police after a weekend street brawl and posted bond after turning himself in (KCRA Stockton).

Despite Diaz’s legal troubles, his upcoming boxing match against YouTuber Jake Paul is reportedly not in jeopardy (MMA News). However, Diaz has accused his opponent of using steroids and challenged him to a longer match (WFAA). Diaz’s representative has reportedly clarified that his client’s recent arrest would not put the fight against Paul in jeopardy (Sportskeeda).

In addition to his legal troubles and upcoming boxing match, Diaz has also accused his opponent of using steroids ahead of their August match (LowKickMMA). Diaz has suggested increasing the length of the match to 12 rounds (LowKickMMA).

Fellow MMA fighter Jorge Masvidal has referred Diaz to a celebrity lawyer in the hopes of helping him put his current legal issues behind him (MMA Junkie). Diaz has also recently accused his upcoming Dallas fight opponent of using steroids (WFAA).
