Adele

Multiple Grammy-winner Adele may not be actively making music at the moment, but that doesn’t stop her from making headlines. Recently, she surprised newlyweds at a concert in Las Vegas by signing the bride’s wedding dress (The Sacramento Bee). Fans of “Late Late Show” host James Corden will recall Adele’s appearances in his popular “Carpool Karaoke” segment, the latest of which featured the duo’s singing a few of Adele’s biggest hits (USA Today).

Adele also made news recently when it was announced she had added 34 Las Vegas residency dates for her ongoing show, “Weekends With Adele”. Interestingly, the London-born singer revealed plans to record the new shows for a film release, further solidifying her place in pop music history (New York Post, The Independent).

Adele, who in 2011 broke every record possible through her second album “21,” has also been in the news for personal reasons. The singer is currently dating Rich Paul, a successful sports agent known for his client LeBron James. Many of Adele’s fans are excited by this new relationship and have been following the couple’s every move (Cosmopolitan.com).

As for her career aspirations, Adele has joked recently that she doesn’t believe she’ll ever win a Tony Award and become and EGOT winner, which would mean she’d added the award to her extant Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony statuettes (“EGOT” being the acronym for winning all four). Yet, she remains one of the most accomplished singers in the modern era, having left an indelible mark on the music world.
