Nate Diaz

Former UFC star Nate Diaz is currently facing an arrest warrant after being involved in a street brawl in New Orleans over the weekend (The Guardian, Fox News). Diaz’s representative has issued a statement on his behalf claiming self-defense (MMA Fighting, MARCA). The incident was captured on video and shows Diaz choking an individual in what appears to be a physical altercation (The Daily Beast).

This is not the first time Diaz has found himself in trouble with the law. In 2018, he was involved in a brawl with UFC fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov outside the octagon following a fight (Bleacher Report). Diaz was also suspended for 90 days after a previous post-fight altercation with Conor McGregor in 2016 (MMA News).

Diaz, who is a well-known MMA fighter from Stockton, California (KCRA Stockton), is currently a free agent (WDSU) and had been scheduled to fight social media star Jake Paul (MMA News). The fight is still set to move forward as planned despite the arrest warrant (Boxing Scene).

Michael Bisping, another former UFC fighter, has warned Diaz of the potential dangers of his behavior, stating that “you can’t go around choking people and think that nothing is going to happen” (MMA News Today). Diaz’s fans and supporters, however, continue to show their loyalty and admiration for the fighter on social media (MMA Fighting).

The situation with Diaz is still ongoing, and further updates will be provided as they become available.
