Winter may be over, but some areas are still seeing significant snowfall. In western Wisconsin, a powerful winter storm system dropped over a foot of snow (Spectrum News). Snowfall in Southern California is rare, but it caused scores of people to become stranded as winter storms swept across the United States (ABC News). Meanwhile, in the mountains 80 miles outside of Los Angeles, the historic snowfall left rescue crews desperate to reach stranded individuals (NBC News).
New York City received its largest snowfall of the season with all boroughs seeing at least some accumulation, with the Bronx receiving the greatest amount at 5.6 inches (NY1). Further up north in Chicago, snowfall pummeled parts of the area one Saturday (NBC Chicago).
