The Seattle Kraken have been making headlines recently as they entered their first NHL playoffs. In Game 1, the Kraken shocked the defending champion Colorado Avalanche with a 4-1 victory, earning the franchise’s first postseason win (USA Today). However, the Avalanche rallied back in Game 2 with a 3-2 win, tying the playoff series at 1-1 (The Columbian).
Individually, Artturi Lehkonen and Devon Toews have been standouts on the ice for their respective teams. Toews scored the game-winning goal in the Avalanche’s Game 2 comeback (USA Today), while Lehkonen had a goal and assist each in Game 1 (The Rink Live).
